What I Do

Personalized executive function coaching and advocacy for high school and post-secondary students in Toronto and online.

I specialize in executive function coaching and student advocacy. Executive functions — skills like planning, prioritizing, self-regulating, and following through — are often the missing piece for students with learning differences, or attention challenges.

Through personalized 1:1 coaching and parent support, I teach students how to work smarter, not harder, so they can reach both academic and personal goals.

Executive Function Coaching

I Help Students:

  • Develop time awareness and planning skills
  • Break large projects into manageable steps
  • Learn to focus and manage distractions
  • Build resilience for non-preferred or challenging tasks
  • Create sustainable study habits and routines
  • Advocate for themselves with teachers and professors
  • Achieve their goals

Learning Skills Support

Loop Learning Collective is a collaborative student coaching practice founded by Sam Tremaine and Megan Boriss. Together, with our highly trained and experienced student mentor coaches, we provide personalized executive function coaching, academic + study skills strategy, and transition support to help students build the confidence, skills, and systems needed to succeed in high school, college, university and beyond.

We support first-year university and college students with:

Time & Task Management: Staying organized, planning assignments, and avoiding last-minute stress.

Focus & Follow-Through: Tools to manage distractions and maintain motivation in independent learning environments.

Emotional Regulation: Strategies to manage anxiety, build resilience, and navigate the ups and downs of young adulthood.

Accountability & Support: Weekly one-on-one check-ins to keep students on track and confident.

This is not tutoring — it’s strategic, holistic coaching designed to foster independence, confidence, and a successful start to academic life.
